Rating Factor:
Rating is an assessment of the worker's work rate relative to the observer's perception of the rate relative to standard speed.
The time study engineer multiplies the actual time (observed time) by a factor known as the "rating factor" or "leveling factor" to obtain the average time (original time). It is expressed as a percentage of operator efficiency, which indicates how efficient an operator is compared to some of his average peers.
Performance Rating:
Performance rating is the process during which the study engineer compares the performance of the operator under observation with his own perception of normal performance.
Performance Rating = Observed Performance / Normal Performance ×100
The concept of normal performance should be such that the time criteria set from it and must be within the capabilities of most of the employees of the enterprise.
Standard performance (normal performance) is the rate of output that qualified workers would naturally achieve on average over a working day or shift without extra effort, provided that they know and adhere to certain procedures and provided that they are motivated to apply themselves. in their work. This performance is marked as 100 on the standard rating and performance scale.
