Role and Daily Activities of an Industrial Engineer (Executive):  Each executive has eight areas of responsibility to manage.  1. Security  2. Line balancing    3. Quality - Operation Control    4. Training – How to train new employees    5. Operator Output – Maintains high output and improves their capacity with low output.    6. Loss Control – Minimize off-standard losses    7. Waste control – materials, supplies and equipment    8. Standard conditions – at work, sewing method, machine        Daily activities of an executive    First thing in the morning    • Arrive quickly    • Greeting incoming employees    • Encourage them to start working early    • Check attendance    • Adjust to balance line according to absence.    • Attend production meetings and discuss yesterday's results and today's goals and plans.    • Planning          ºº How to increase efficiency          ºº How to improve outgoing quality          How to prepare for routine problems or emerging problems.        during the day    • Measure target vs. actual output hourly    • Check the quality level    • Check inline and last line quality reports    • Discuss with quality inspectors Perform quality drills    • Work with low output operators    • Check the correct procedure    • Motivate and empower operators    • Follow new operators in training    • Follow up the operator in retraining    • Identify bottleneck operations and balance accordingly    • Provide immediate and continuous follow-up for repairs    • Bundle tracking and track and follow up on outgoing bundles.    • Allow any off-standard "clock-out".    • Order supply and material for production

First thing in the morning
